The 2002 Corolla is powered by a 1zz-fe motor, its a long stroke low reving torque making 4 cylinder.
The head and block are all aluminum, which helps keep this lightweight 4 door light. The most noticable
aspect of the engine is that the intake side is in front, and the intake maniold has long independent
tubular runners. This design makes for one the best stock intake manifolds you can get on an import
4 cylinder. The engine make most of its power at mid range, it is not a high peaky motor like the 4age
or most Honda motors.
